![]() ![]() I have a condition called Lipedema which is a rare fat disorder where rogue fat cells, usually in the lower body and upper arms, absorb lymph fluid and don’t release it causing swelling and lumpiness. My experience has been different than what I expected.Īt first it felt very firm and my shoulders and especially upper arms were sore. It’s now late October and I absolutely love my mattress. After a couple of weeks I knew it was too firm so I swapped it for a Purple 4. unsure what to try.I bought a Purple 3 on July 2 2021. Some seem good at first but then the reviews say they sleep hot (it gets really hot here) or that the return policy sucks, or dips happen, etc. There are many hybrids online but it’s overwhelming. I feel really nervous about dropping 3k on a bed that could sag in a year or two. Sadly purple seems to have risen in price and is twice as much as many other hybrid beds. ![]() I’ve raised my budget up a bit to 1000-1500 as an ideal mark. Granted, the grid did feel weird and I may need a pad to even out the textures. The purple3 did well to relieve pressure while being springy and easy to move around on. It was nice but the sinking feeling wasn’t my thing, when compared to purple hybrid - which felt great. Tried a few beds in the store and nectar premier copper was what I thought I’d leave with. I don’t hate this bed but it’s also not the most comfortable. Over time the sagging got worse and I recently removed the box spring, which helped. For most of that time I slapped it on an old box spring which sat on wooden slats, and called it a day. I’m on a cheap memory foam bed I got for like $500 five yrs ago at a mattress firm. I’m 215-225 lbs (but seriously working on that) 5’6” and a mostly side sleeper, sometimes back sleeper. ![]()
